  • Tom Frewen: Two committees took advantage of the week’s break to go on the road The Maori Affairs Committee was in Rotorua to hear submissions on a bill giving iwi a role in management of the Waikato River. And Reesh Lyon went with the Education and Science Committee to report on submissions in Auckland on the bill from Sir Roger Douglas that would abolish compulsory membership of student unions.
