Parliament resumed today with Finance Minister Bill English making a ministerial statement on South Canterbury Finance and the Government’s deposit guarantee scheme.
Mr English outlined the history of the scheme and its application to the finance company.
Both Labour and Green speakers said questions needed to be answered over the conduct of the Government, officials and South Canterbury Finance.
