When Parliament resumed at 2pm the acting Leader of the House John Carter said it was the intention of the Government next week to pass the Appropriation (2009/10 Financial Review) Bill through its committee stage and third reading, and make progress on the Marine and Coastal Area (Takutai Moana) Bill.
Mr Carter said Wednesday would be Member’s Day.
The Government’s Final Response to Report of the Justice and Electoral Committee on Petition 2008/52 of Jane Prichard and 46 others was tabled.
Select committee reports were presented on the:
2009/10 financial review of the New Zealand Institute for Plant and Food Research Limited by the Education and Science Committee;
2009/10 financial review of the Institute of Geological and Nuclear Sciences Limited by the Education and Science Committee; and
2009/10 financial review of Industrial Research Limited by the Education and Science Committee.
Following Question Time, MPs will return to the committee stage of the Marine and Coastal Area (Takutai Moana) Bill.
