Budget To Dominate Debate This Week

by Desk Editor on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 — 11:26 AM

The formal debate in response to the Budget is set to dominate proceedings in the House this week.

There are still 12 hours and 2 minutes remaining in the adjourned debate on the Appropriation (2012/13 Estimates) Bill which gives effect to last week’s Budget.

In previous years the Government adjourned the set piece debate on a regular basis to allow progress on Government bills. If this happens again, the next item on the Government agenda is the committee stage of the Crown Entities Reform Bill.
