A bill setting up a regulatory regime for the finance sector will make progress in Parliament today.

After Question Time, MPs are due to hold the second reading debate on the Non-bank Deposit Takers Bill. This sets up a new prudential framework for institutions taking monetary deposits that are not classed as banks.

Last night’s estimate debate was adjourned with three hours and 40 minutes remaining.
