When Parliament resumed at 2pm MPs unanimously passed a motion noting their shock and sadness at the death of three soldiers in Afghanistan.

Prime Minister John Key moved the motion.

Report from the Controller and Auditor-General, Institutional Arrangements for Training, Registering, and Appraising Teachers by the Education and Science Committee;

Petition 2011/0023 of Tina Nilson and 988 others by the Justice and Electoral Committee;

Petition 2011/0013 of Steffan Browning by the Commerce Committee; and the

Petition 2008/0143 of Lois Griffiths and 382 others by the Commerce Committee.

The Climate Change Response (Emissions Trading and Other Matters) Amendment Bill was introduced.
