Treaty Bills Progress

Sitting under extended hours provisions Parliament made progress on four treaty settlement bills on Thursday morning.

The first readings of the Waitaha Claims Settlement Bill and Ngāti Whātua o Kaipara Claims Settlement Bill and the second readings of the Ngāti Manuhiri Claims Settlement Bill and

The Ngāti Whātua Orākei Claims Settlement Bill were all completed on voice vote with the exception of the Ngāti Manuhiri Claims Settlement Bill on which the Greens abstained as they were unhappy with the mandate of the claimants.
