Next week the Government will seek to progress a number of its bills, hold an extra members day on Wednesday and sit under extended hours on Thursday, MPs were told today.
Leader of the House Gerry Brownlee said in his Business Statement that the Government wanted next week to make progress on the Electronic Identity Verification Bill, the Identity Information Confirmation Bill, the Lawyers and Conveyancers Amendment Bill and Local Government (Auckland Council) Amendment Bill (No 2).
Two petitions were presented calling on Parliament to recognise affordable housing was a Government issue and action should be taken.
The annual reports of the Office of Film and Literature Classification and the Transport Accident Investigation Commission were presented.
