Parliament will sit on Wednesday and Thursday morning next week as the Government tries to work through a crowded Order Paper.
Leader of the House Gerry Brownlee said in his business statement that the Government would seek to pass the Callaghan Innovation Bill (formerly the Advanced Technology Institute Bill) and a number of first readings including the Public Finance (Fiscal Responsibility) Amendment Bill and Family Court Proceedings Reform Bill.
Wednesday would be a members’ day and with the agreement of the Business Committee the House would sit on Wednesday and Thursday Morning to progress a number of non-controversial Government bills.
On Thursday the committee stage of the Alcohol Reform Bill would be completed.
