The Govt’s Plans For The Last Sitting Week

The Government will seek to pass alcohol law reform legislation next Tuesday as Parliament begins the final sitting week of the year.

Deputy Leader of the House Anne Tolley said the Government would also deal with the Resource Management Reform Bill and the Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims (Continuation and Reform) Amendment Bill.

The House would sit on Wednesday morning to debate two notices of motion and some non-controversial legislation. In the afternoon the adjournment debate will be held and the House will rise for the year.

The Auditor-General’s report on Matters arising from the 2012-22 local authority long-term plans was presented as were the annual reports of Maritime New Zealand and the Southland Fish and Game Council.

Inquiry into the appointment of an auditor for the Office of the Controller and Auditor-General
