The Government will prioritise three bills for progress next week, Leader of the House Gerry Brownlee said on Thursday.

Delivering the Business Statement, Brownlee said when the House sat next Tuesday, progress would be sought on the Corrections Amendment Bill (Third reading), Privacy (Information Sharing) Bill (Committee stage) and the International Finance Agreements Amendment Bill (Committee stage).

Wednesday will be a Members Day.

A motion congratulating the Aboriginal and Torres Island people for their status as first people being recognised by the Australian Parliament was passed without dissent, as was a motion condemning the treatment of homosexuals in Uganda and Nigeria.

MPs began Question Time.
