Arguments are presented for and against the Manukau City Council (Regulation of Prostitution in Specified Places) Bill – a bill that will ban street prostitution in South Auckland.

The Bill is currently being looked at by the Local Government and Environment Committee.

In a submission on the Education Amendment Bill to the Education and Science Committee, Ombudsman Beverly Wakem expresses concern about the lack of accountability for charter schools.

Principals Federation President Philip Harding also sees problems with the proposed Bill.
