The House is expected to mark the death of Parekura Horomia this afternoon and then rise.

When the House resumes at 2pm there is likely to be a motion to mark the passing away of the former minister and Labour MP ahead of all other business.

Following speeches on the motion, it is widely understood that by MPs’ leave the House will rise for the day and resume on Wednesday at 2pm.
