Urgency Brought To A Close

by Desk Editor on Thursday, July 4, 2013 — 5:17 PM

The Government has brought the Urgency session to an end.

Following Question Time, MPs completed the committee stages of the Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Amendment Bill and the Taxation (Livestock Valuation, Assets Expenditure, and Remedial Matters) Bill.

Just after 5pm Leader of the House Gerry Brownlee moved the House report progress and the House rose for the week.

This left the following bills in the Urgency motion not dealt with.

• the committee stage of the Airports (Cost Recovery for Processing of International Travellers) Bill

• the committee stage of the Administration of Community Sentences and Orders Bill

• the committee stage of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (Covered Bonds) Amendment Bill, and

• the committee stage of the Medicines Amendment Bill
