Preparing For Urgency

MPs are preparing for a long session of Urgency this week.

Leader of the House Gerry Brownlee indicated last week he would move an Urgency motion today.

Currently on top of the Order Paper is the committee stage debate of the Social Housing Reform (Housing Restructuring and Tenancy Matters Amendment) Bill to be followed by the second readings of the Game Animal Council Bill and the Māori Television Service (Te Aratuku Whakaata Irirangi Māori Amendment Bill.

The House will rise for a week long adjournment when Urgency ends after this the final sitting, which is expected to be a fortnight long, will take place before the House adjourns for the summer break.
