Govt Responses To Inquiries Presented

When Parliament resumed at 2pm the Government responses to select committee inquiries on Pacific languages in education and the international treaty agreement between US and NZ on combatting crime were presented.

The Auditor-General’s report on Auditing Standards 2014 was also presented.

Select committee reports were presented on the: 2012/13 financial review of Meridian Energy Limited and Petition 2011/45 of Eric Roy by the Commerce Committee

2012/13 financial review of the Electricity Authority by the Commerce Committee

2012/13 financial review of Transpower New Zealand Limited, and Report from the Controller and Auditor-General on Transpower New Zealand Limited: Managing risks to transmission assets by the Commerce Committee

Credit Contracts and Financial Services Law Reform Bill by the Commerce Committee

International treaty examination of the Minamata Convention on Mercury by the Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Committee

The Kaikoura (Te Tai-o-Marokura) Marine Management Bill was introduced and MPs began Question Time.
