After Question Time, MPs returned to the Budget Debate with with 6 hours 45 minutes remaining.

During the Budget debate, independent MP Brendan Horan accused his former party New Zealand First of misusing parliamentary funding for election purposes.

NZ First MPs took exception to the accusations and tried to close Horan down, but he persisted.

Later NZ First put out a press release saying Horan’s claims were incorrect and groundless.
