Govt Wins Confidence Vote

The Budget debate has been completed with the Government successfully winning the following confidence vote.

The second reading of the Appropriation (2014/15 Estimates) Bill was completed with a vote of 64 to 57 with National, Maori Party, ACT and United Future in favour.

A vote of no confidence was defeated by 50 to 71 with Labour, Greens, Mana and Brendan Horan in favour.

NZ First later corrected its vote to in favour of the no confidence vote so the final vote was 57 to 64.
