As this Parliament enters into its last sitting week MPs will mark the beginning of the First World War.

After Question Time, Prime Minister John Key is scheduled to move a motion “That this House recognise that on the 4th of August 2014, we will mark the centenary of New Zealand entering the First World War.”

Following this will be three hour third reading debate of the Appropriation (2014/15 Estimates) Bill and the third readings of the Local Government Act 2002 Amendment Bill (No 3) and Veterans’ Support Bill.
