Pot Petition Presented

When the House sat at 2pm a petition asking MPs to pass legislation regulating cannabis use was presented.

A number of annual reports were presented including those of the Health Quality and Safety Commission, Families Commission and the Children’s Commissioner.

Select committee reports were presented on:

Subordinate Legislation (Confirmation and Validation) Bill (No 3) by the Regulations Review Committee

International treaty examination of the Second Protocol to the Convention Between New Zealand and Canada for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with Respect to Taxes on Income by the Finance and Expenditure Committee

Report from the Controller and Auditor-General, Public Entities’ Progress in Implementing the Auditor-General’s Recommendations 2014 by the Finance and Expenditure Committee

Report from the Controller and Auditor-General, State-owned Enterprises: Results of the 2012/13 Audits by the Finance and Expenditure Committee

The Taxation (KiwiSaver HomeStart and Remedial Matters) Bill was introduced and MPs began Question Time.
