Weathertight Homes Bill To Get Priority

After next week’s adjournment the Government would seek to make progress on its legislation when the House sits on March 10.

Deputy Leader of the House Simon Bridges said the Government was likely to give priority to the Statutes Amendment Bill (No 4), Weathertight Homes Resolution Services Amendment Bill and the Radiation Safety Bill.

A petition requesting Parliament pass legislation to ensure children in the care of Child, Youth and Family remain in their care until they are 19 was then presented as were the annual financial statements of the Ngāi Tahu Ancillary Claims Trust.

The Auditor-General’s report, Local government: Results of the 2013/14 audits was presented and the Taxation (Annual Rates for 2015-16, Research and Development, and Remedial Matters) Bill was introduced.

MPs then began Question Time.
