A bill making changes to Radio New Zealand’s charter has completed its second reading almost six years after it was reported back from select committee.
Following Question Time and the General Debate MPs returned to the interrupted debate on the Radio New Zealand Amendment Bill.
The bill modernises Radio NZ’s legislation and charter, making it technology neutral so it is not bound by traditional broadcasting. It completed its second reading on a voice vote.
