Urgency Ends

Parliament has completed the passage of the Border Processing (Arrivals and Departures) Levy Bill under Urgency on Saturday evening.

The bill passed its third reading by 72 to 33.

For: National 59, Greens 9, Maori Party 2, ACT 1 United Future 1

Against: Labour 21, NZ First 12

Earlier the bill completed its committee stage at 9pm after MPs agreed to take all parts as one debate.

This brought to an end the Urgency motion passed after Thursday’s Budget. The House will sit again at 2pm next Tuesday
