MPs completed the third reading of the Arts Centre of Christchurch Trust Bill this afternoon.

The bill sets up the legal and governance framework for The Arts Centre of Christchurch Trust Board to allow it to rebuild the central city art centre and continue to manage it.

The private bill was sponsored by Christchurch Central MP Nicky Wagner and passed on a voice vote.
MPs then began the third reading of a local bill – Christchurch City Council (Rates Validation) Bill.
