by Desk Editor on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 — 10:33 AM

Members’ Day throws up a number of controversial issues for MPs to deal with today ranging from electoral law to foreign ownership of land.

After Question Time and the General Debate MPs will return to the interrupted first reading of the Underground Coal Mining Safety Bill.

This will be followed by the first readings of the Electoral (Adjustment of Thresholds) Amendment Bill, SuperGold Health Check Bill and the Overseas Investment (Owning our Own Rural Land) Amendment Bill.

(Note by agreement of the Business Committee the Overseas Investment (Owning our Own Rural Land) Amendment Bill was pushed down the Order Paper and will not be debated this evening.
