Members Day

by Desk Editor on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 — 12:51 PM

MPs are set to debate Members’ Bills today.

After Question Time and the General Debate the first item of business is the Christian Churches New Zealand Property Trust Board Empowering Bill, a private bill dissolving the Associated Churches of Christ Church Extension and Property Trust Board and vesting its interests and obligations to the Christian Churches New Zealand Property Trust Board.

MPs will then return to the first reading of David Parker’s Minimum Wage (Contractor Remuneration) Amendment Bill, which seeks to extend the minimum wage to contractors.

This will be followed by the first reading debates on the Local Government Act 2002 (Greater Local Democracy) Amendment Bill, Public Collections and Solicitations (Disclosure of Payment) Bill and the Financial Assistance for Live Organ Donors Bill.
