Taxation On Housing Bills To Be Debated

by Desk Editor on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 — 10:34 AM

MPs will focus on issues concerning taxation and housing when Parliament resumes today.

After Question Time it is possible there will be requests for urgent debates in particular on the Government’s recent decision around refugees.

The first legislation up for debate is the second reading of the Taxation (Land Information and Offshore Persons Information) Bill and the interrupted first reading of the Taxation (Bright-line Test for Residential Land) Bill.

This will be followed by the first reading of the Employment Standards Bill, which among other things deals with “zero hour” contracts.
