Leader of the House Gerry Brownlee has delivered a business statement for the week following the upcoming adjournment.
The business statement is as follows:
“Next week the House is in a 1-week adjournment. When the House resumes on Tuesday, 3 November, the Government will look to advance a number of bills on the Order Paper, including the Taxation (Bright-line Test for Residential Land) Bill and the Taxation (Annual Rates for 2015-16, Research and Development, and Remedial Matters) Bill. As agreed by the Business Committee, extended hours will be taken on the morning of Wednesday, 4 November for Government business, and, as indicated yesterday, the House will rise at approximately 5.45 p.m. or at the conclusion of the new Green Party member’s speech.”
