The House made progress on three Private Bills on the first Members’ Day for 2016.

The Christian Churches New Zealand Property Trust Board Empowering Bill was read a second time.

The Papawai and Kaikokirikiri Trusts Amendment Bill was read a first time and referred to the Māori Affairs Committee.

The Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind Act Repeal Bill was read a first time and referred to the Health Committee.
