Maori Language Bill Passes

The Te Pire mō Te Reo Māori / Māori Language Bill has passed several stages – including its final reading – in one sitting

First, the bill was recommitted to the committee of the whole house for technical amendments.

After passing the committee stage, the bill was read a third and final time and passed by 104 votes to 11, with only NZ First opposed.
