Progress on Committee Stages

On Tuesday the 23rd of August, the House made progress on a number of Government bills:

The committee stage of the Child Protection (Child Sex Offender Register) Bill was completed.

The committee stage of the Evidence Amendment Bill was completed.

The committee stage of the Electronic Monitoring of Offenders Legislation Bill was completed. The bill was divided into the following bills:

  • Corrections (Electronic Monitoring of Offenders) Amendment Bill
  • Parole (Electronic Monitoring of Offenders) Amendment Bill
  • Sentencing (Electronic Monitoring of Offenders) Amendment Bill

Earlier in the day the Subordinate Legislation Confirmation Bill (No 2) was read a first time and referred to the Regulations Review Committee.
