Carter Shows Key What the Door is For

John Key becomes the first prime minister to be thrown out of the debating chamber since Margaret Wilson sent Helen Clark out in June 2005. Mister Key got carried away when answering questions about the Panama Papers after refusing to apologise for saying they contained the names of Greenpeace and Amnesty International. His departure leaves one question answered and the Leader of the House, Gerry Brownlee, declines to put up another minister to answer it for the prime minister. After the Speaker, David Carter, reminds Mister Brownlee that Question Time is about holding the Government to account, Finance Minister, Bill English, breaks ranks to answer the question for Mister Key.
