Labour MPs Before Privileges Committee

Parliament’s Privileges Committee meets to consider three questions of privilege, two of them concerning reflections on the Speaker, David Carter, by Labour leader Andrew Little and his chief whip Chris Hipkins. MPs use the General Debate to warm-up for first reading on Thursday of the government’s new Resource Management Act amendment. Police Minister, Michael Woodhouse, reminds his Labour shadow, their new Police spokesman, Stuart Nash, that no-one is above the law – not even journalists.
