The Aquaculture Legislation Amendment Bill (No 3) passed its first reading by 111 votes to 9 with the Greens opposing.

It was sent to the Primary Production Committee which was instructed to report back by April 27 2011.

MPs began the third reading of the Rugby World Cup 2011 (Empowering) Bill.
