When Parliament resumed today the Deputy Leader of the House Simon Power said next week the Government intended to introduce aquaculture reform legislation and pass the Rugby World Cup Empowering Bill.

The House would go into Urgency on Tuesday evening to progress “a range of bills’’, ministers would still take questions on Wednesday and Thursday.

The annual reports of the Government Super Fund Actuarial Evaluation, the Health Sponsorship Council, the Historic Places Trust, the Nursing Council and the Takeovers Pane were presented.

The 2009/10 financial review of Non-departmental appropriations for Vote Health as reported by the Health Committee was tabled and the Register of Pecuniary Interests of Judges Bill was introduced.
