The New Zealand Security Intelligence Service Amendment Bill completed its first reading stage by 111 to nine with the Greens opposing and it was sent to the Intelligence and Security committee by 64 to 56.

The New Zealand Security Intelligence Service Amendment Bill completed its first reading stage by 111 to nine with the Greens opposing and it was sent to the Intelligence and Security committee by 64 to 56.

The special committee was set up in 1996 for oversight of SIS and GCSB and is chaired by the Prime Minister.

MPs began the third reading debate of the Ngāti Apa (North Island) Claims Settlement Bill.
