Parliament resumed at 9am with MPs returning to the first reading debate of the Sentencing (Aggravating Factors) Amendment Bill.

Parliament resumed at 9am with MPs returning to the first reading debate of the Sentencing (Aggravating Factors) Amendment Bill.

In this Urgency session, the Government wishes to make further progress on the first readings of the:

Juries (Jury Service and Protection of Particulars ofJury List Information) Amendment Bill; and

Statutes Amendment Bill (No 2).

The second reading of the Auditor Regulation and External Reporting Bill.

The committee stage of the Land Transport (Road Safety and Other Matters)Amendment Bill

The remaining stages of the Copyright (Infringing File Sharing) Amendment Bill which is currently awaiting the second reading debate.

The Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Bill which was introduced yesterday is currently being considered by the Local Government Committee and will return to Parliament tomorrow to be passed through all its remaining stages.
