Acting Leader of the House Simon Power said Parliament would adjourn next week and when it resumed on July 5 the Government would make progress on the SIS Amendment Bill and other matters on the order paper.

Mr Power said July 6 was scheduled to be a members day, asked if the Government had decided to use Urgency then, Mr Power said it was “very early days”

A petition calling on Parliament to note that 444 people had requested that the Eden Park Post Office and Kiwibank be retained.

A report from the Auditor-General on “Inland Revenue – Making Compliance Easy’’ was presented.
