The New Zealand Security Intelligence Service Amendment Bill was passed by 107 to 10 with the Greens and Chris Carter opposing after it was split into two bills.

These were the New Zealand Security Intelligence Service Amendment Bill and the Crimes Amendment Bill (No 3).

MPs began the first reading debate of the Regulatory Standards Bill.
