The House has gone into urgency to debate Budget related legislation ranging from increasing petrol prices through to increasing land supply for housing in Auckland.

The Government adjourned the Budget debate at 4.40 and moved the House into Urgency with National, Maori Party, ACT and United Future in favour 64 to 56.

Leader of the House Gerry Brownlee said the Government would introduce two housing related bills and send them to select committee.

The Government would also seek to introduce and pass into law:

*A health bill clarifying the legal position around those caring for adults

*A bill to correct mistakes in the recently passed Crown Minerals Act amendment bill.

*And an excise tax bill to increase petrol tax by 3c a litre for each of the next three years
