Urgent Debate On Police Conduct

by Desk Editor on Thursday, March 19, 2015 — 3:15 PM

Speaker David Carter has allowed an urgent debate on the Independent Police Conduct Authority’s report on the Police’s handling of the “Roast Busters” case.

The report found the female victims (some of whom were under 16) were let down badly by the Police and their investigation into alleged sexual assaults against them.

Following Question Time Mr Carter said the findings of the report were grave enough to warrant the debate as the public needed to have confidence in the Police. The debate will take 90 minutes.
