Parliament Continues Under Urgency

Parliament resumed under Urgency on Friday morning with MPs debating the committee stage of the Social Housing Reform (Flexible Purchasing and Remedial Matters) Bill.

The second reading debate was completed on Thursday night by 63 to 58 with National, Maori Party, ACT and United Future in favour.

The following bills stills have to be debated under the Urgency motion passed following yesterday’s Budget.

• the introduction and passing of the Telecommunications (Development Levy) Amendment Bill

• the introduction and passing of the KiwiSaver Budget Measures Bill

• the introduction and passing of the Border Processing (Arrivals and Departures) Levy Bill
