On Wednesday evening, the House made progress on the committee stages of a number of Government bills.:
The committee stage of the Drug and Alcohol Testing of Community-based Offenders, Bailees, and Other Persons Legislation Bill was completed. The bill was divided into the following bills:
- Bail (Drug and Alcohol Testing) Amendment Bill
- Parole (Drug and Alcohol Testing) Amendment Bill
- Sentencing (Drug and Alcohol Testing) Amendment Bill
- Public Safety (Public Protection Orders) (Drug and Alcohol Testing) Amendment Bill
- Returning Offenders (Management and Information) (Drug and Alcohol Testing) Amendment Bill.
The committee stage of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Amendment Bill was completed.
The committee stage of the Patents (Trans-Tasman Patent Attorneys and Other Matters) Amendment Bill was completed.
